Also, great job with introducing your daughter into archery/shooting/hunting. Keep at it and good luck to you and her this year! It's an unbelievable experience hunting with your kids.

I think I just got lucky with picking this place up. I just hit it off with the old man when I met him. Offered my help on anything he needs even tho he told me he didn't need any help. We have lost a lot of land that we have hunted for years latley. It's made me search for more land this year and look in areas we overlook most of the time.I've been told no way more than I would like rhis year but have picked up a few new places in the last few weeks. Dad met an old man at his work the other day that has 300 acres also and were suppose to go look at it Saturday. It would be crazy to pick up 700 acres to hunt within a week's time. We lost around 300 the last 2 years so we have at least gained that back just don't know how it's gonna compare to the places we lost.

I've got some new cameras up on the new place. It looks prime I think I'll get the big one back on camera again within the next month or so I think I'm in his home range now. I went for a run tonight and found the big bucks across the road from my house so I'll be moving a camera into that area sometime this week they look to be staying on a place nobody hunts and using the creek to come out into the fields. I went ahead and got my Kentucky license and will be doing some hunting on public land down there this season. Atleast the opening weekend early muzzy and maybe some rifle hunting if I can get one on the ground here early.

One of the big 8s came back and he's got me interested since he looks a lot like the one i shot low last year and didnt find. if they keep doing what there doing my buddy from Tennessee will put one down opening weekend. They will most likely change before then but if they don't it's gonna be fun.

started getting things together for kentucky this weekend, im leaving friday will get down there around 12 and get my stand hung, then i will kill the rest of the afternoon knocking on doors to see if i can pick up some private land. it may just be me going now because my buddy hurt his neck at work and is not sure how he will feel by friday. there seem to be some good deer around where we are hunting im just gonna find a oak thats dropping near the edge of the clover fields and see what happens. ill be hunting till tuesday then im gonna try to go back for there early muzzy season.

Well figured I'd post on here to update on the Kentucky trip. Saturday morning I messed up on getting a shot off on a doe after deciding to not shoot a small 4 pt in velvet. My brother killed a yote that was chasing a doe. That afternoon we went back and moved my buddy's stand. Well the dove hunters were in the field he was gonna hunt so he ended up behind me in the woods the deer came out of that morning even tho I told him no he was gonna cut me off I ended up letting g him go in. About 7 o'clock I heard him shoot. he shot a good velvet 8 point soon after that a doe worked her way to me just before It was to dark to see my pins I let it one fly and made a good hit we found both deer within 30 yards from the shots. What I didn't expect with mine was it had just gotten rid of its spots I new it was small but I didn't realize it was that small. we didn't even take a picture with it lol. It's all cut up and In The cooler gonna be some good eating but I wouldn't​ of shot if I would of known it was a fawn. So In one day we all killed something on public land we had never stepped foot on til the day before season.we are leaving a day early to get home and see some family but we will be back. Over all its been a great trip met some great guys while in the parking lot there(except the guy that my brother had to throw out of his stand ) but other than him everyone was really repectful of your area and helpful when we had questions.ill post some more picture if I get them from.
