I got home from work around 5pm and ask Austin if he would like to go for a quick hunt, to my surprise he wanted to. I was able to get a bird to answer but after 2 different setups and only about a half dozen courtesy gobbles I could tell he was a no go. It was about 7:15 and I spotted 3 red heads crest the top of the hill and headed our way, they dang near ran over us on their suicide mission LOL. Austin dropped the hammer on his first thunder chicken. Its funny how someday's they just want to die. I have been really looking forward to this day getting to share a passion of mine with my boy and DANG was it fun. Evening hunts are definitely something I look forward to doing more of when given the opportunity.
