I know. I just thought you'd flip shit after all his GM bashing in this thread.

Nah, that would be what he wants. If he chooses to pick up that gun he so much despises and squeezes the trigger, that's on him. He'll just use the cover that he made $ on it, nothing to do with the original intent of this thread.:smiley_coolpeace:

FWIW, the number one truck I seen at the campground this weekend was Dodge/Ram. Followed by chevy, then Ford.

Most chevy's were non-diesel and I'd say half of those were half ton trucks.

Dodge was a mix of all the above.

The fords were all newer and diesel 6.7. With the exception of the 3 excursions with 7.3's

My observation with seeing over 160 trucks getting used this weekend.

Probably because no one can afford the Fords or Chevy's after blowing their wad on campers that were too expensive. Lol

I'll keep track again next weekend. I'm sure it'll change along with the crowd. This weekend was pretty family oriented, next weekend will be the party crowd. All the guys outworking their half tons to say it'll pull the camper just fine...I'm guessing it'll be the usual "tough" guys in F150's flaunting their shit, that takes the lead.

Yes, I realize you are an F150 driver. Maybe you fit this mold, maybe you don't? Lol. I drive a Dodge and HATE most Dodge drivers for some of the same reasons. (Mirrors flipped up and stacked tunes made for rollin coal...flat bill hat and sideways stickers. Hauling skateboards and fat girls on daddy's dime)

There's a mountain of diference between a 1981 and a post 2000 era GM. To assume my hatred of GM is due soely to the name and is applied to every vehicle they ever made would be incorrect. The most notable diference is with one you can turn wrenches to turn a profit, and the latter which requires turning wrenches just to keep it on the road.

Kind of like a new 870. I wouldn't buy a new one for nothing. But a early 80s model on the other hand.

Lol. Yea, I'm an F150 guy. I like my Fords but I'm not against other brands. I was just cracking a joke... Dodges are almost always cheaper than their comparable counterparts. But yea, the fuggin tow mirrors drive me nuts too!

Well screw you guys then. I always have my tow mirrors flipped. Then again, if I am using that truck it is because. . . I am towing something. Easier to see around the dual wheel fender flares though. For the record: No stacks. No coal. No tuners. No chips. Factory injectors. Just an opened exhaust (minus resonator still toting a flow thru muffler) and a cold air intake. Just cracked 100k miles on my 06. Would like to get another 50-100k on it before I start looking. Hopefully by then I won't need as much truck for my lifestyle at that time.

I'm not brand loyal either. Different areas seem to have more of one brand then the other, just how it's always been. Have you looked at the new Rams? Nothing cheap about them! Pretty proud of them things...and anything in a Cummins comes with a price.

They're getting in new models right now had a dealer tell me he could get me 12k off a new one. I told him that makes no sense to me because I can get a 2016 for 20k off msrp.

You find me a new Cummins $20,000 off. I'll go buy the damn thing right now! Unless you were looking at half tons...I don't see those numbers being very accurate.

Here ya go.

2016 with 10k miles. $54,000. Likely get him to 49ish.

And a 2017 for $72,000.

I thought you meant new in rebates. My math went, you could get a lower end model for $35,000. And that I'd go buy tomorrow...I ain't spending more then $35,000 on a truck. That ain't my kind of truck, I wouldn't want to use it.

Naw he was saying he could get me 12 grand off a new one. (Rebates). I told him that doesn't appeal to me because I can get 20 grand off a 2016 (depreciation) which is basically a new one. Now I'm making the assumption the 12k off if the top of the line model. I highly doubt that's off a 1500.

Yeah, I'm tracking you now. And yes, they have some HUGE rebates on the 1500 right now. 8-12 off depending on model. 2500 & 3500 also have some big rebates, even the diesel models.

Who are these people dropping $72k on a truck? I'll keep my 2006. Bought in 2011 for $25k. Still worth $20-25k after I owned it 6 years and put another 50k miles on it. Maybe I'm dumb for keeping it. Should sell it right now and recoup most of my money to buy one 5-6yrs newer. Nah. It's paid off. I'll drive it another 5-10yrs and sell it for $12-15k. lol
