I put out a Trophy Rock last year to refresh one of my mineral sites and 2 weeks later checked my cam on that spot. The whole thing was gone, it rained pretty good during those 2 weeks, now I know what happened to it! I was stumped at the time?!?!? Thought sasquatch took off with it, lol

Twice I've had someone steal a 50 pound salt block. They seriously carried off 50 pounds of 4 dollar salt.

Well really nothing today but have done something in the past. But as I type several big bodied deer are feeding in my food plots down below.
I planted my 1st food plot in 2013. Got 1.5 ac of WTI clover and 1.0 of forage oats that was planted last fall. The oats is green and growing. The 1.0 ac of turnips, radish, beets I planted last fall is bare ground except for a few bulbs still left. Every leaf was eaten. The 3.0 plus acres is tons of fall-winter-spring food for the deer. I would say they are better off.
Going to finish my new plot on the west side I started. Got real busy in 2016 with my contract work so it didn't get done.
So starts the 2017 food plot planting.

Looks like I need to stop by TSC here real soon and fix this.

I did put that cam that was under water over it, we will see how well that works still [emoji23]

Started clearing a spot for my first attempt at a food plot in the woods. Will be small and all done with hand tools. Hoping to be a kill plot as they say. Going to clear a little more area this weekend and add more lime. Fairly open canopy so hope it grows well. Will put in clover, and chicory mix and also bought some oats and rye to add also. Will fertilize and plant in few weeks. May spray roundup if it gets much growth in it.

I went to Rural King today with the intent of buying a couple of salt blocks. I saw this & decided to give a couple of these a try. I'll break 'em up & put them in different places along my gas line & watch. Has anyone tried this & seen any difference between that & a regular block ? I've always used Deer Cane all these years.

Dad bought an older tiller dirt cheap and did some welding/repairs to it. Took it up top and tried it out yesterday. Need to lay lime to it soon. Plan to spray gly june, july, august and plant around august 10. Oats and turnips is the plan as of now. Old tiller did a good job!
