Where do you get apples in that quantity?

I have an apple route now. If you see apples in someones yard, just stop and ask them. Many are glad to have them cleaned up. If anyone sounds negative/skeptical, mention how they are a pain while mowing and all the bees they attract. I have had people tell me no. But many give permission. I now have 24 trees on my route. Note: Deer prefer yellow apples over red. Jonathan is their LEAST favorite of all apples. (But will eat them if nothing else).

There is about 8 spots I dump apples. Some we hunt, some we don't. Usually the apples are gone or at least slacked off a lot when season gets here.
I have one spot where they will eat 300-350# in 48 hrs. (Coons and Coyotes eat them too).

Next time we see you we will say "Here's Johnny" Appleseed that is. Pears are better though, ask my wife. She almost got ticketed for feeding the deer pears up here in the National Park. Luckily the ranger used to work with her and gave her a break.

Some pears are better than others. They must be ripe too. I put out some green/hard ones and they laid untouched for quite awhile.

I went out today to work on some trails & install the battery for my tripod feeder & check cams. For my other feeder, it started getting hit the very next morning. As long as I have does coming in, that's all that matters. The bucks will be looking for them in November. I was smart enough to take extra batteries with me because when I went to my favorite mineral site, the lights were blinking on my Lift after I inserted a new card. I changed the batteries there & after I got home & checked, I only had pics of me there that day. I waited a whole month for nothing... uggh. I know, I know, we've all been there.

Just checked the cam card watching over my tripod & even without a battery ( until today ), things didn't take long.

Kevin, be prepared. Soon as the coons find them, they will empty it. They climb up the legs and spin the spinner until it is empty. You need to put screen around the spinner to keep them out. Before I put screen/fencing on it, they would empty it in about 5-7 days. (and mine holds twice the corn those do)

Good idea! I can start with my hermit of a neighbor if I can ever get her to speak to anyone lol. She has 2 trees in her back yard that are LOADED and she just lets them fall off and rot smh.

Picked up a couple of trophy rocks real cheap this weekend. Ain't doing me much good sitting in the back seat, so I'll probably get them out sometime before spring.

I found a roll of half inch by 1 inch screen at Lowe's and cut to custom fit the spinner. Wired it on and left access to the batteries. You can cut out other cross members in the screen to allow for better dispersal of the Corn. Wire it good Kevin do not underestimate those masked bastards.
