Thanks fellas. We tried racing to the top of the hill. Poor kid learned about cramps and lactic acid build up. LOL. I actually carried her the last 100 yards to the "finish line". I was drenched by that point!

I finally got around to acquiring a few feeders & deployed them yesterday. I had dumped a can of grape powder by itself a short while back & appears to be coming along ok.

Might take a while for the older deer to get accustomed to those feeders, Kevin. I set one up on our property about 3 years ago, had it out for 2 months and the deer never came close to it. It did attract turkeys though😂

I put a feeder similar to that one 2 years ago and the deer did fed out of it. The turkeys loved it as did the damn coons. I put a metal ring around it and the defeat the coons somewhat. Haven't used it this year.
Plan on having my niece and her husband down for gun season so I'll start running corn through it.

I built a ground drag for when I plant oats later today. I used a 4'x8' commercial shelving screen make out of 3/16" rods. It will do me for the once a year dragging I need to do.

Forgot to post this last week. I had a meeting in Nelsonville, so I took the back way to and from. A little before 8, I'm rolling through Fluteman's hood and this fawn strolls out in front of me. I got slowed down just in time to snap this pic. On the way back at 4 that afternoon, in the exact same spot, this fawn or a different one, ran straight out in front of me and I had to lock them up to miss it. Like a glitch in the matrix! Another food source went in to. The white oak behind me is loaded. With standing corn on the other side of this plot, I'm itching to sit this stand!

Looks good. It just looks amazing to non hunters about the time and cost we do for putting in food plots. But I enjoy the good results.

Thanks for the input. I'm just happy to be finally contributing to the wildlife more than anything. It'll be fun just the same to be listening to the corn being spit out in the distance while on stand & wondering what might come thru.
