What did you do for the deer today?

[emoji1360][emoji23] you guys think it’s too early to put minerals out? I’ve got a couple sites established that this will be the second year for. I usually don’t put them out til April. Thoughts?

I think between now and April is find to put out minerals. You will still have some minerals left in the ground from last year anyway. I know I have a camera on the block that I put out last week. I had some doe stop by to check it out, but I didn't have any that I think was seriously using it. More just checking out something new in their environment.

I picked up a trophy rock for our stump lick. (They last a long time off the ground). Plus 5 bags of corn to restock a gravity feeder. Going to get minerals out in the next week as well.

Perfect day to frost seed with this rain coming. Had a 3# bag of ladino clover in the barn, so I split it between this plot which was winter wheat and oats, and my big clover plot in the bottom. Should help stretch both through the summer.

Nice Jesse!, Just stopped out at Merit Seed yesterday and picked up a 6# bag of Hidden Spot (rye grass, red and white clover, balansa clover, forage chicory, and purple top turnip) plan on planting it as soon as the last frost and then replanting this fall with straight turnips. This will be my first attempt at a plot, should be right around .25 acres. Excited to see what it will turn into.

Being antler growing season and many many products pimping “grow bigger antlers” using EatCornLongways products, is anyone doing anything?

Anyone’s plots still going or greening up?

Filling feeders with something besides corn?

I was planning on doing some things today like drop mineral blocks and such. But somehow managed to mess up my back by coughing...so I’m sitting here watching tv commercials pimp antler growing products as they feed them to hard antlered deer...wtf good is that doing? Lol

Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel a little better and be able to get the minerals out and maybe even look around for some bone. I’ve also got a mix of birdseed/corn/powder minerals/deer pellets I need to get out. I’ll see what I see for deer sign first though. They just migrate through this time of year. Once it greens up I’ll get a group of does to stick around.

I frost seeded a plot tonight with some Ladino Clover I had left-over. Still muddy, but it was doable. I had sugar beets in there last year and I will say that the deer really cleaned them up this winter. There was nothing left. Also found a shed. Will have to post up a pic later.

I got my invisible pet fence repaired today and a new collar. Reese loves to chase...hopefully this will keep her out of the woods. Spent the extra coin and got the industrial strength collar. Maybe it’ll just lock her muscles up and that’ll teach her!😂
