Awesome man congrats! My FIL and his buddy put in every year for Arizona Elk. They have 8 pref points and I have three. We didn't get drawn this year but with 9 prefer points there's a 70% chance next year for the unit we put in for. The father in laws brother lives out there and got drawn this year so we may head out there come Sept to tag along and call so I can learn the ropes before I get drawn. Or we may head out there and hunt something over the counter since we have to buy a hunting license to even apply for elk.

Few different options in Arizona, couse, muley or antelope would be fun.

just not many options drawings em lol antelope you'll be on a 15yr wait list, but you can hunt coues and muley archery OTC with <5% success rate but I heard it's a hoot!

If you ever do an antelope hunt, look in WY, buy your PP come July 1, they're $30 and will put you in good position for a hunt even with just a single point over having no points.

My father-in-law keeps telling me we can go hunt coues deer but it doesn't really float my boat to spend a week and travel expenses trying to shoot a scrub racked Whitetail. I would rather get an OC muley tag and give it hell.

I'm with ya, if I lived there I'm sure it'd be a blast but I'm not flying across the country to hunt em.

However... I'd go to alaska tho to hunt blacktail any day

I had planned on going to CO again this year, but it's looking more like that trip will be on the back burner. My wife is possibly quitting her job so she can go to nursing school.

I'll probably hunt Maryland, Ohio, and here in PA this year.

I got an offer the other day to go hunt Indiana private property. I may take him up on it just to say I did and enjoy some hunting with a good buddy. I'm sure the campfire will be worth the money.

I'd be all over that. Try not to get hammered every night so you can hunt while you're there😂

Looks like I'll probably be going moose hunting this fall. Last week of September in Ontario, archery.
A friend of mine asked me pretty much last second and he is still trying to finalize it with the outfitter.
Moose is on my bucket list and I aint getting any younger....

Guess I'll start out here in Jersey with the bears.... Theres a certain bear I've been chasing the last couple of years and I want to try and seal the deal this Oct. with the bow... Then around the 20th of Oct. I think I'll hit up some public land in Ohio and see how that goes. Then come Nov. 1st I'll head out to Illinois till Thanksgiving week to hunt with the bow and then the first gun season.. This trip is always the highlight of the season as we have a lot of fun and shoot a few decent deer to boot.. Then when I get back maybe I'll head out to Western Pa. for rifle season and hunt with some relatives that still live there. That will about sum it up... Nothing Too exciting....
