Nope, I'm going to answer all of todays questions, took the bride out for a valentines day dinner show and just got back in:). I am going to try to answer all the questions in one post so follow along! One kind of general question/answer is that I have no idea as to how they are going to run the meetings. I know they will start at noon on day one and go to about 1PM on the next day. The gentleman who will be moderating the meetings is a professor from Ohio State school of Natural Resources, Douglas Bessette. He is not a deer biologist and it doesn't appear that he has a wildlife management type background, but rather specializes in management decision making. Thus with Huntn2 question on the live feed, it sounds good and I like it, but for the time being I don't know if it will work. I am expecting I will be getting more info and when I do I'll be able to better answer the live feed question. For giles, the post on the other site was copied from the Buckeye Firearms page, the email was for a response to them. For Jackalope, no problem on the site name, you can delete the last post I made answering someones question about what it was. I do hope to be able to funnel info both directions and that is my plan. I won't be able to implement it until I know how this thing is going to be set up. finelyshedded The "unhuntables" I know what your talking about. My job puts me in about a two hour radius of New Phila for work which means I routinely cover from Circleville to Delaware to Upper Sandusky to the Lake to the PA and WV borders an back across Athens up to Circleville. I've seen areas that look great and there are never any deer visible, other areas that have some and a very few that seem to have a lot. One thing on the farmers or rather farm organizations that want them "all killed". I really question rather they are representing their members. The vast majority of farms I visit, the farmers and their family are hunters or they have people hunting their ground, and they like seeing deer. One thing I'll admit that I have zero experience in is deer hunting public ground, at least in Ohio. I have and do turkey and rabbit hunt public ground in Ohio, but that's an apples to oranges comparison and I realize that. And lastly what 1023 says this may be nothing but a dog and pony show, At this point I don't know. If it is I'll call it that. As I mentioned before I was on the Highway Patrol for 25 years, six years in a group of troops decided they didn't like the way management was treating us and we formed an FOP lodge, The patrol in response formed a trooper rep committee in each district. I represented District 7 Cambridge on all disciplinary matters. This meant I would set in on all the hearing in Columbus with the Lt Colonels and the Majors. They never seemed to like my answers, for a six year troop to tell these guys with 25-30 years on was almost blasphemy in their eyes. I knew I was right when I did it then and if it needs said here I won't be afraid to do it again.......what are they going to do fire me:pickle:

Sounds to me like you are willing to take the bull by the horns. Let's do this!

Welcome bawana! Thank you for your 25yrs. of service and for joining this site to answer questions. I look forward to the updates and how the sportsman is represented in the meetings. The live streaming idea is a great one and hope to see it come to fruition.

Welcome aboard TOO and have good luck with your adventure.
But damn that last post was confusing to read in one long post with no start and stops.

Just proof that a lot of DOW employees are incompetent.
And this has what to do with Bawana's introduction? He is willing to come over to TOO to reach out. The least we can do is offer him a welcome, some encouragement, wish him luck, and express the concerns of the hunters. It is up to him to decide whether he is being listened to or if they are blowing smoke up his butt. Not sure I would consider him part of the DOW.

Your negative vs positive posts are 10 to 1, why don't you step up you game and quit being an ass....
The guy isn't being paid, is volunteering his time and you gotta say something that makes you look like an ass.... SMDH.....

I sure appreciated your post Brent. Shows you are willing to try and address all of it. I understood your post and just broke it up as needed. Looking forwards to you staying with us on this.

Honestly, the trust is so low with the ODNR deer management group that they could of picked Shel Silverstein and there would have been issues with it. Good luck Brent.
