2 deer out of 100 spooked on the elevated cams, I'd say those are pretty good numbers. I wonder why Ric isn't getting those reactions on his.Why is that funny? Obviously the cams are doing more harm then good. Even elevated, the deer will find it and probably do the same thing.
Back when I ran cams a lot, I used to complain about only getting one set of pics of mature deer. I believe I even started a thread on here asking the pro's how they do it. I guess now I might know why...

I run my cameras in video mode about 95% of the time cuz I prefer action and like the added info it provides! I believe I will rethink my cam placement more though.

I did. But anything you can do to reduce your odds of spooking game will help. If you have bait out and a red flash camera, the longer they stand there, the more likely they are to see it. Also, deer are curious creatures, and will investigate cameras and the smells and sounds associated with them.Did you watch the video?
