I hope it did not sound as though I am anti nonresident hunter, cause I'm not at all. I like t hunt other places occasionally too. And I'd guess most willing to travel to hunt worry more about obeying local game laws than most locals. Nonresident hunters are good in my book...
I did not take it like that at all, and I hope I didn't sound like that either. I was more thinking about them being gone forever. You can't drive by a house and tell your grandkids about a couple of stellar bucks hanging on a wall. I hope the memory of what these two did for you and Mason continue and never stop. I know I think of you guys often when I'm with my kids in the woods. I feel like if the deer stayed local, these stories would be easier and more talked about. "Went by old man Zimmermans today and it sparked a memory. Do you guys remember when....man that was a good hunt." These two deer are legends, you two have shown some amazing dedication, determination, and an amazing amount of self control.
I hope you two are able to go out and hunt like the rest of us now, lol. The watching of deer is over. Time for you two to get into some of the mess.
