I'm absolutely sick... I have help coming, and I'm still trying to get up with the guy with the dog. I came out and I'm gonna relax for 3-4 hours. I'm really struggling at this point. I did my best to not mess anything up. Marked the spot of the shot and we will go from there.

Get over it. Job is done, just give it time, pick up a trail and get your deer. Going into a track all stressed out is going to make you over look things. Relax

I know, it's easy to say from this side... You gotta get over it though and be 110% from here. What you do now is more important than that shot, so put it behind you.

Wow, never thought of that one....

I found that trick by accident a few years back. On my hands and knees looking for the tiny little drips and swatting the damn spiders away. It wasn't until after I found the deer and I was back home, that I realized what was going on. Since then, every early season track I've been on, I've noticed them.

I may have another connection to a blood tracking dog if that one falls through. Keep us posted and good luck!

I'd love to have the information. The one that was posted isn't answering his phone for me. I've calmed down a whole lot, I know he's dead. I just need to buckle down and find him. I've got this eve and all day tomorow to look

Damn, sorry... he's not available. He's giving a farm tour tomorrow and expecting about 3000 people.

Got a feeling your not gonna need a dog. I'd wait until 5 if you can. Take your time and use your head. The spray bottle of peroxide is the best 3.00 you will EVER spend. Has helped me many of times! There is 2 bottles on our fridge every hunting season.

Spray bottle of peroxide?

Spray of Peroxide will make blood foam up. Once you are down to "Nothing" spray everything you even think looks like blood~~Peroxide will tell the truth! Amazing how much little red specks are out there in the woods naturally! To go with this, you put a square of toilet paper on a weed ect every time you find blood (Or in different increments) if you loose the trail, white specks will show you the previous path. Giving you a general direction for grid searching.
