Right on, I'm terrible with name idea's so I'll sit this one out. I know, that I'm not the most active when it comes to posting, but I'm usually browsing. Can't wait for the season to begin, things are looking a little better for me to spend some more time in the woods, just hoping I get to make more trips to my spot in Athens. Going down next weekend for a final check up and camera check, will let you guys know how its looking.

I plan to bag a few deer this year. I don't have outlook as far as a buck. I'm just going to go hunting this year and whatever happens...happens. With my work schedule, I probably won't do a lot of hunting until late season. The one property is a "earn a buck" property, so I'll try and get at least one doe on the ground ASAP.

Looks like we are all here. Anyone have any big plans or hopes this year? I don't, I just want to go hunting. I don't even have a corn like going at my house this year... I was thinking about putting some out now that crops are falling to the big green deer.

Driving down to Athens this weekend, to do a final check. Hoping I get my tree time down there this year. Got one buck I've been watching a over 3 years now. He's not a giant, but a good 10. Found half his rack in the spring. He shows up in daylight, just none of the day's I can make it.Seems to be more visual late season, got some hunting spot by me that I should be able to bag my doe and just wait.

Okay thanks for response! Hope tomorrow shows some promise, probably won't make it down until the end of October in that spot, plan to hunt it a lot late.

I'm back...been on vacation in New England. I am running behind on treestand prep, need to get out this week and hang a few. My two little spots usually don't produce until late Oct to mid Nov.

Giles, I am in Beavercreek just outside Dayton....Hunted a lot of rabbits and quail down your way in the 70's and 80's. Used to hunt down on the Adams/Highland Co. line until one of the big leasing companies moved in.

You guys pick a name...I don't care...

I will be hunting, Athens and Geauga mainly. Good luck to everyone this weekend that can make it out. Going to try Satruday morning, but my buddy has a good buck that seems to be coming everyday still. I will probably be on a camera duty this weekend and the following I'll be attending a wedding. Like steve said, my spots always seem better late season. Found the shed to the buck I've been after for three years right by my stand so gives me some hope late season.

Good stuff man, that'll get you through any rough times.

I gotta work Sunday, so I'll try sat evening. My places are all evening spots. During gun season you might see a group of doe in the morning, that's about it. It produces mid day and evenings.

I wish mine where all evening, not a morning person. lmao Got everything ready to roll, had one big doe coming in the local spot few times last week, so hope to get lucky opening day for once and winds perfect for my buddy, so hoping to record a BBD in the evening.
