Perry County Hunting?

Anyone have any input or thoughts on deer and turkey hunting in Perry County? Specifically near Crooksville? I don't hear much about Perry County in terms of big deer coming from the area.

I've got an opportunity to buy some land and was trying to get some additional thoughts from those that might live and hunt in the area.

I live in Perry and have my whole life. Most areas near crooksville are strip ground from coal mining.

Plenty of good hunting in the area. I used to hunt near Corning, and have buddies who still do. Good deer there.

I've heard Crooksville area was really good. I've only been there once with a buddy to pick up a deer mount from local taxidermist. A local guy brought this monster in while I was there. Said he found it dead behind his house.
