I too have noticed a few road kills along the highways but don't attribute any of it to deer numbers bouncing back. Lots of other critters killed along the road as well! It's that time of year!

Agreed . I've always thought if there were 2 deer left in a county one of them would find a way to get itself hit on the road

I've seen quite a few dead on the side I'd the road in the last few weeks.

If anymore deer are hit this spring the insurance companies/state biologist will determine a miss calculation in the herd and the entire state will go on unlimited doe tags!
In all seriousness on 30 from Ashland County to Richland County I see 2 or 3 a week it seems like and that only 15 mile stretch.

Road kill numbers are always high around this time of the year. It typically coinsides with does dropping fawns thus increased movements.
