An animal supplement that makes claims it may help prevent animals from contracting EHD. That's like me saying "If you take vitamin C it may help prevent you from getting aids*

*These claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. Vitamin C is not intended to treat, prevent, or cure any disease.
Are you talking about that annilogics stuff?

Ain't going to change my thoughts on them. I like them, like the show, and they seem like good people. I bet you wouldn't turn down a free hunt on one of their Iowa or Missouri farms though[emoji23]

Not saying they aren't good people. But they have bills and a company just like everyone else.

The reality is if you aren't at at least somewhat shady you aren't going to make it in the hunting industry. Nature of the beast. It's a very competitive dog eat dog industry where people would cut their own mothers throat to step up one more rung. It's not personal. Just business.

All I'm saying is that "the Drury brothers use it" doesn't fly with me. Show me some research behind this and I'll think about it. But hell, they can't even come up with a medication for allergies that doesn't cause anal leakage, heart attacks, depression, toe fungus, death...and I'm pretty sure they can all cause cancer and there's a lawyer you can call about that. So why would I go dumping stuff out for wild animals that could maybe help?

IF this stuff turns out to be the next best thing and help save thousands of deer, I'll gladly take it all back.

Well, out of all the somewhat shady people in the hunting industry they are one of my favorites[emoji38] . I agree with what you just said though.

Oh, I never doubted that they had to cut some throats to get where they are. I think they are as real as it gets when it comes to big shots in the hunting industry, set all that sponsor bullshit aside and you can't deny that they are some good deer hunters. They've been killing big bucks since before the Easter Bunny.

No doubt about that.

I was one of the biggest fan boys of the Drurys until Al and Chad came along. lmao But I've since thrown them in the pile with the Boner Collector himself. If the check is big enough, they'll promote it. How many times have they dropped a product or brand in the past 6-7 years?!? They are in the business of branding, marketing and promotion. If you think just because they support IT that whatever IT is is worth buying, you probably believe in dragons and the tooth fairy too. lmao

hahaha all good points. I guess I just don't let the entire sponsorship stuff bother me much. You see it all the time in other sports where a guy goes from UA to Nike or whatever.

Also the argument against this product is an easy one, show me results. As stated with every mineral ever, you'll never be able to produce results for wild deer. Even if they proved this worked well in reduce EHD in captive deer, everyone would argue that it might not hold true in wild populations because of X, Y, Z. So out of all the stuff the Drurys support, this is probably better than having to drive a RAM! hahaha

Off track, but to your point, did Lebron or MJ jump ship? Cam Newton? It doesn't happen that often and when it does, lots of times its tied to the league changing partnerships: i.e. making more money. I've seen just enough of the inside of this industry to know what spins the wheels. Being a good person only takes you so far. The rest comes down to what you're willing to do to chase the dollar.

I think at times you don't see huge names like Lebron jump ship because of the pure amount of money they are making on those Nike contract. I am sure if UA came and offered him a 200 million dollar contract he'd leave in a heartbeat, but for now the 100 million dollar contact will work.

As for changing bow companies, I get that 100%! How many of us have changed bow companies over the years and hell we spend our hard earned money on them!

I fully understand the argument against it but at the same time, I get their side very clearly. Hell I laugh my ass off every time I see Bill Winke riding that scooter through the woods with one bag of corn on the back hahah!

I guess its all the same in the hunting industry, I just don't seem to get bothered by it at all. I have been wrong before and maybe as I get older Ill see things in a different light.

While in my lab over the past winter I came up with a formula for a well known fungus....

I am awaiting the patent and then will be marketing it... So be the first in Ohio to grow these year round.

It's a shame that the outdoor industry has turned into such a BIG BUSINESS... Laughing all the way to the bank while promoting any combination of products from machines that eliminate your scent to who knows what. Do any of these truly work??? Maybe.. I'm old fashioned and still hunt with WW2 camo if its the only set that is clean. And they are not stored in some magical scent container. After all I'm out to enjoy Mother Nature, not to change how she work's. I'll stick to good old woodsmanship.

Do companies mis-lead the average sportsman of Ohio... NAH... They are as honest as today's politicians..

Couple years back my brother and I were hunting in Iowa and he harvests a very nice buck.. So happens that where we were staying, a film crew for a very large camo company is also staying while in Iowa filming a hunt. So upon seeing my brothers buck they give him a nice brand new camo outfit and ask to do a film shoot and do an interview of his hunt. So fast forward... Jackalope is sitting on his sofa one sunday watching a Brown's game and on comes a commercial from this camo company with a pic of my brother wearing their camo with his deer. Wow look at that deer he says... I have to go out and buy that camo... It's going to help me win the TOO big buck contest... How many times does this happen???

Ok.. Let me go fry up some of those morels with eggs and bacon... LOL

I don't understand why your calling me a loser....lol. The opinions posted are exactly what I expected. I found it to be bogus BS. Just couldn't believe the DOD guys would think hunters are stupid enough to believe it.
