i have land to hunt in a few different locations, what i,m seeing is land that is around amish communities we don;t see big numbers of deer, last night(before dark) i rode around each properties and didn;t see a single deer in amish areas,(private land that they are not aiiowed on)but on areas that there are no buggies up and down the roads i saw about 75+ deer yesterday, that was in about a 15 mile streach, some fields had up to 15 deer per field and along the roads deer were not spooky, where i see buggies and they own land we don,t hardly see any deer in fields and along the roads, looks like if the odnr wanted to catch people breaking the law it would,nt be that hard, talked to landowners around where they started buying land a few years back, he said you could see deer about any time you looked out across the pasture, not anymore,he saw them dragging multiple deer out on their land several times this year and called odnr with no results, my guestion are they exempt from the laws of the land because of their religion, do they get special previlages,i hear gun shots all thru bow season in this area and know it,s not practice, one or two shots then nothing, just my observation, what do you see

Growing up in Geauga county I do not have much respect for the Amish. They have to follow the same game laws just like everyone else. You can call the DNR when you see violations. I have had no luck or know of anyone who has had luck reporting game violations when it comes to Amish. Would still call if I did see a violation. Just wouldn't expect anything to come out of it if they were Amish.

Amish are like a disease to the land. Once one family gets established, they ruin everything around them until nothing is left. When I hear people say "rape the land" I think of them smelly sister fucking pukes.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said. I live 15 minutes from the Holmes county line. I had a run in with them 2 years ago trespassing and poaching on my property.

I refuse to judge an entire group on the actions of a few. Although they have some bad reps, and I have had run ins with some i didn't care for, I would have to say I have met a lot I do like as people.

One of the largest QDM coops involves a lot of amish farms in central Ohio. I know they kill some huge bucks up there every year.

I concur. I have met some good ones. Sure do keep my guard up though because I have met plenty who were slicker than snot. Hate to paint with broad stroke of the brush but it gets harder and harder the more you see doing shady stuff.
