Covering lots of ground is the easy part! Getting permission is by far the toughest! Especially these days!

I disagree. It is not that hard to get permission in my part of the state. Farmers especially seem to shrug their shoulders and say "well yeah if you want too."

I personally think the time to hunt is being given way, way too much importance by many.

I think time in any one particular set actually is a diminishing return after the first day you hunt it, especially if you hunt it on ANYTHING less than ideal time and conditions. This is where I believe the skill set, experience and knowledge of property and the deer becomes the second most important factor followed only by the need of a mature deer actually existing where you are hunting.

Lastly most of us will never even see a 200" deer in our entire hunting lives much less have an opportunity to kill one. Determine personal goals based upon the reality of where we all hunt, not hunting show hype or you will always feel somewhat unfulfilled.

You can have all the time in the world, you gotta have the right time to hunt and know what that time is. If you can't get that wind right, you are doing more harm than good with that time.

You need the total package, a little luck goes a long way TOO!
