Damn . I didn't make it to too mosquito. Caught some big gills and crappie Saturday pond fishing .
Planning on going to Saginaw Thurs night . Not loving the weather forecast . May postpone things

I took Greyson for his first ever ice fishing trip yesterday. Only fished an hour before he was ready to call it quits. Few big gills were caught and released per his request. 20180121_091345.jpg20180121_092333.jpg

I'm in. Funny because I was telling my wife how lucky she is to have locked me down in college or I would be up north where it's hard to judge beauty under all those clothes and beer goggles after sitting in a shanty all day.

Next to bow hunting, ice fishing for walleye has to be a very close second in being my favorite hobby. I have the gear and transportation, lets do this. I've done Upper Red Lake in northern Minnesota a few times now, always a great time! Hard to head that far north if Erie and or the bay lock up though.

i hate to admit that I can’t wait for my kids to move out...but between this idea and hunting Oklahoma. My brain has been in overdrive on how to make things happen. I’ve got Alaska every other year...leaves an off year that needs filled. 😂

Let me know when you want to go. My wife's BIL begs me to come up to his place every winter. He is in St Cloud, MN.

Any one ice fish alum? i hit it yearly or when we have fishable ice there and buckeye r my two spots i ice fish alot buckeye was slamming for us last year saugeyes are the exclusive target love those fish so hard to target and so rewarding to catch and in my opinion taste better than walleye rite now while waiting for ice we use big jerk baits above dam and hit some big fish hope we get good ice this year great feeling pulling big saugeyes up thru a hole in ice
