I think you'll see a benefit from the CBD, even if it's not with inflammation. I'd suggest taking it 1 hour before a work out and you should see an improved mental focus in the gym. Worth a shot anyway.

No...[emoji23]

Alright Giles and anybody else interested in joining in...

I created a team for the Savage Race on Saturday June 9.

When you register, select Savage Race, quantity 1 (Savage Race Pro are the competitve waves... I'm not trying to get clobbered)

Enter promo code liberty4all for 20% off. It basically offsets the mandatory insurance change.

Proceed through the registrtaion form and select Join Team. The team name is: Here for the beer (See Giles, I'm looking out for ya!)

I selected the 10:20 start time, but it looks like nothing is guaranteed and we won't know what time we start until about a week out.

The rest is self explanatory.

The last two weeks I’ve been sick and pretty exhausted so I didn’t workout. Wanted to get healthy and rest is a big part of that. This week I’ve been back at my routine and I’m feeling it. Lol. A little time off is a good break, but too much time off is almost like punishment getting back at it.

Glad you're back at it and feeling somewhat better Sean! I took a week off myself with travel obligations for work last Wednesday, gone Friday in Missouri and recovering from my trip on Monday still. Had a good workout yesterday and was back to 202 this morning, which was baseline before I left. I should be under 200 in the next 7-10 days. I'm experimenting with a test booster that I found following a good bit of research. I'm only 10 days in, so I'll evaluate it after the bottle is gone. At $55 a month, I'm not sure I will continue taking it, but I liked what my reading and research had to say about that particular product and it's ingredients, so I figured it was worth a month's eval.

Ive had some health issues in the past couple years. I have membranous nephropathy. Its a kidney thing that causes all of the good vitamins protiens and minerals in your body to exit via the kidneys thru urine. Medicine has helped some but the problem i'm having is I have no energy. I cant do much before I'm tired and weak. Since ive had this I have gained about 50 pounds. I'm now at 292 pounds. Most of the weight gain is in my gut, Its getting ridiculous. Ive went from 38" to 40" and now my 40" pants are getting tight. My wife is even commenting on how big I'm getting.
Any advice on how I can loose some weight without exercise? And please don't say I have to quit drinking beer. Ive cut down a lot but don't want to quit. Thanks

Look at all your carb intake and reduce as much as you can on that front. And yes beer is a big part of that equation.

This is really a simple fix. Unless... you're not committed and have no discipline.
  1. Stop eating anything that contains high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, sucralose, dextrose, sucrose, fructose, etc. In other words, stop eating foods with added sugar, especially if it's listed in the first 5 ingredients.
  2. Limit your carb intake to less than 100 net carbs per day.
  3. Create a caloric deficit via exercise, not starvation.
As for drinking beer, it is part of your problem whether you want to admit it or not. Don't believe me? Do the research and start here: https://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/body_weight/alcohol-effect.htm

If you are really that tired all the time I would get your testosterone levels checked to see if your levels are low. Low testosterone will make you gain weight. And honestly the reason you are tired all the time is lack of exercise. You will both feel better and sleep better. As far as diet goes bowhunter is correct.

I have my blood checked every other month. It has been checked for everything. Its not testosterone. Doctor says I get tired so easy because I have a very low % of protiens in my blood.
I know beer is bad. I have cut down. Ill have a couple here and there and proly 12 on a weekend with friends. Ive pretty much quit the liquor.
I know carbs are bad but its hard to resist the wifes taters and gravy. I have been doing more vegetables and less taters.
I'm not big on sweets and don't eat much of that.
Also I had hemroid surgery a month ago and it hasent gone well. Ive had to take it easy for the last month and its added more weight on me. Doc said yesterday to take it easy for 2 more weeks.
Planning on doing a lot of walking when I go to camp in a couple weeks.
Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to try to get the wife to cook healthier

The wife being on he same page, or if she’s a healthy eater you being on it helps tremendously.
Once you limit the carbs and junk sugars you’ll be amazed as the inches shrink.
Cardio is paramount to any weight loss, if you have a dog, hook it up to a leash and start walking.... Best medicine for the both of you.

I feel ya buddy. I got extra fat while being laid off. Depression kicked my ass and all I wanted to do was sit on the couch and drink beer, so that’s what I did. I usually just eat the meat and taters...tonight I put asperigas and green beans on my plate. My wife and kids were in more shock then I was, lol.

In the end, only I can change it. Good luck on your path and don’t forget on your walking, I’d love to give you a play by play.

Back to the gym today after a week off with a cold and sinus crud. Amazing how fast we can regress the older we get! I about died doing my standard mile walk at a 12% incline! Was able to knock out a 3x8 circuit of hanging cleans, to deep squats, to reverse lunges with 125#s before running out of steam. Hopefully I'm back to 100% by Friday.

To those of you pursuing fitness goals, keep hammering.

Wow you said that right about the older you get!!! I think I partially tore my left pec muscle 3 weeks ago. This is the first I benched since then and fugg what a dissapointment but the soreness a day later felt good! The positive for me is my cardio is moving in the right direction, I've dropped 14#'s so far and my endurance is following.
