DIY Kiddie pool waterhole ?

I would think this would be better suited in the western part of the mid west or the west in general where it is much dryers. Ohio is full of water sources.

Unless you can channel a consistent spring to add more of a volume with flow thru it than I'd say I agree with the previous posts....

I've read lots of habitat guys say that pooled, warm water is the preferred water source. Drinking such water requires less energy to digest. It also has more algie and protiens than fresh water. I put 2 tanks in this last week.....3 total now on my farm. It's better than no water at all....that's a certian.

Sounds like a great idea until you put in all the work to find a spot to put it, clear everything out of the way, lug in jugs of water to fill it. Then, one autumn morning some big fat doe steps into the plastic pool and puts her hoof right thru the bottom and you watch all that hard work swirl out that hole like a tornado in the bathtub lol.
