Apparently you Neanderthal pro-logging types have never seen the movie Ferngully.
I now gotta go outside and hug a tree, it's been 2 hrs.

(Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Especially when it's typed tounge-in-cheek. :smiley_coolpeace: )

Everything I read there seemed to be pointed mostly at removing dead and diseased trees. Sure some areas could have been clear cut or seemingly clear cut but there also was a clear spin on the article that the writer was not happy it happened at all. Tree cutting even to that extent will only help wildlife in the long run. With that, when was the last time some of you have seen a grouse?? That's because larger scale cutting has become a thing of the past. It's not pretty but when animals thrive in that habitat it becomes clear it has it's usefulness. They have done the same thing up here in Michigan which riled up many around the state park down the road from our house. Truckloads upon truckloads of ash trees and even oaks killed by gypsy moths left that park. Some places it looked as if it were clear cut, even though there were a few trees still here and there that were alive. Within 2 years some of the spots you can walk past have become a thick food producing sanctuary with how thick it is getting.
