Your name just brought back some good memories for me! If your like either if the other two guys I've met that use that phrase, I hope I get a chance to sit around a fire with you. You boys live a different life down in that swamp! Lol, and I love hearing all about it.

I grew up in ohio now live in Florida 8 months a year and Columbus area in the summer. I never thought I would see the day you could hunt deer with a rifle in ohio. I bought a 1985 vintage marlin 1895 ss at a gun show in Tampa last March can't wait to get it up north and hunt with it next fall by the way it is 4570 because there are many different loads a viable than 450 marlin and if you reload the loads are endless welcome and good luck

I have an h&r hand rifle in 444 that I'm planing on using up there. Which is a little flatter shooting. But I have always wanted a slug gun and any excuse to buy a new gun is a good one for me. I'm a gun and bow junkie can never have enough

How's the hunting around merietta? I'm actually really hoping we get to move up there soon

I grew up in Marietta, still live in the area. The hunting in Washington County and the surrounding counties is about as good as anywhere else in the state. Lots of 170"+ deer taken in the area. Turkeys are plentiful TOO. If you are wanting to use your rifles you can always cross the river and hunt WV.

I am hoping to be able to move up there by this time next year. Just have to wait and see what the oil prices do and if my wife finds a job up there

I came up in 2012 from Florida thanks to the Oil & Gas and I love it here... of course having a good job in O&G helps a lot
