Buck rub in yard

I had a power pole replaced in my yard last year not 25 yards from the house.
I just discovered a buck has been rubbing it. Its not the first time I have seen this done on a utility pole but usually they are old and weathered. This one still reeks of creosote and tar.

I don't know if its just a few days old or at the max 2-3 weeks. No more than that as I was looking at it then.
It may be the one from my gun hunt or some ball dragger gone nocturnal.
I'll hang a trail cam tomorrow... (ya. in my front yard..)lol
