Right now I am finishing Brad Thors True Blue. It is a cop/legal fiction and it has been worth the time but not as good as his Camel Club and detective stuff.

I am at the library at least twice a week. It is one of my girls favorite places.

I also want to mention another author: Larry Corriea (Monster Hunter International). He is a member of a partial private firearms forum and he wrote a book based on a thread he started on www.thehighroad.com

It started as a joke and it ended up a best seller. Now he has a follow up book out (next in a series) and is writing with another gun nut that also co-wrote the thread...hell here is a link to the thread:

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=207390&highlight=corriea

Just remember when reading it that it was done on the fly at first. This thread is coming out in book form this coming year. His first two books are about killing evil stuff (vampires, werewolves, garden gnomes, etc...) with great guns.

That story he wrote on the forums is awesome. I can't wait to finish it

Not bad for two dudes f-ing around. It is neat how it is written by two people with the plot coming from two different characters.

I haven't picked up any books for a while... just keeping up with some of the magazines that come to the house; Peteson's Bowhunting and Ducks Unlimited. This past off season though I went though:

Hunting Pressured Whitetails - Eberhart
Precision Bowhunting - Eberhart
Mapping Trophy Bucks - Herndon
Rub Line Secrets - Miller
Advanced Stand Hunting Strategies - Bartylla
Life at Full Draw, The Chuck Adam Story - Gutschow

Time for me to get back to the library I think...

I recommend Lone Survivor...its about Marcus Luttrell, who is on the show wild and raw on the outdoor channel. He is a Navy SEAL and was the only survivor in a battle that was the largest loss of life in navy seal history...

I don't have time to read or watch much tv. Hunting magazines on the toilet or TOO is all I read. Might buy the paper once every couple months to read. What is it like to have free time not dedicated to keeping up with TOO?

I don't sleep much Phil. 5.5 hours a night is the usual. TOO slows way down at night so I pick up a book. I hardly watch any TV and when I do it is DVR'ed so I can watch 4 hours of programming in less than 2.

I read on average one paper back a week. Authors are:
Keith Douglass
W.E.B Griffin
Jonathan Cain
Terry C. Johnston (Great Reads!)
Andy McNab (also Great reads!)
William W. Johnstone

And a vast variety of other authors. I get most from Amazon, used, for $.01 and $3.99 shipping.

Watched a 1 hour documentary on the history of military snipers last night.

Which one? They have a new "sniper" something every week anymore between the Military Channel, Discovery, History, etc.... Some of them are really annoying while others are great.

P.S. Just got a present in the mail. The New Vince Flynn book and Tom Clancy Dead or alive.
