Here is a limit from the 2nd weekend in April. We caught limits both Saturday and Sunday. I was only able to go up once this year, and I timed it just right thankfully.

Carolina rig. Egg sinker with swivels on both ends the weight depends on the current. You want it to bounce off the bottom not drag a whole lot. Your leader length will vary depending on current and where the fish are at in the water, anywhere from two to three feet and sometimes four. At the end will be a floating jig head with a wide assortment of colored twistertails.

Ohiowhitetails (Nate) and I partnered up again. I think the top 6 or 7 teams were boaters, which is what I figured would be the case with the high water. I think we ended up top 5 for the waders. Last year were finished fourth overall, 2 for waders by an ounce

Don't get in too big of a hurry!! I still hope to pull a few through the ice this year!!
I plan on goin up and camping at turtle creek for a extended weekend once the jig bite starts up.
Just stop already...some of us are still buck hunting! Then we have sheds to find. Anyone want to talk about Christmas while we are at it?! Lol
