The before and after pics front yard of ny house. Its 2nd year of mothers day that my mom isnt here. So i would get her flowers or something of a tree somewhat.....sooo when mothers day would come up, i didnt know what to do now she's been gone . So, i figure dont just stop buying plants because she isn't here anymore....so i would go on ahead but any kind of plants/flowers, take it over to her grave and show it to her amd bring it back to my house and plant it for her.

Very cool stuff Chad!:smiley_clap:

Cool stuff man. Before i joined the military i bought my mom six rose bushes and told her i may not always be home for mothers day but you'll always have flowers. She still has them planted in the front beds.

Finally got my garden in yesterday. It may be the latest ever for me. 12 regular tomato of varying species, and 3 cherry. 4 yellow, 4 orange, 4 green, 4 banana, and 2 jalapeno pepper. Couple zucchini, 2 pickle bushes, 2 eggplant, 4 cabbage, 4 broccoli, and some leaf lettuce. I said to heck with sweet corn. I fail in every aspect of growing it every year. A 5 minute drive and I can go get some from Suters

finally got my garden in last weekend, but only because I covered the whole damn thing up with tarps to keep it from getting any wetter the week before. was barely dry enough to plant, but we did it anyway. still need to string up my bean trellis netting, but my beans are already up after only one week. covered it heavy with straw today, hoping for some decent amount of rain now or I'm gonna have to drag the sprinkler out there. that small row of lettuce in the foreground is Arugula which we have been enjoying almost daily for a couple of weeks. very peppery tasting green, and we love it. makes a great salad with some sweeter stuff like carrots, dried cherries and blueberries plus some grape tomatoes, roasted pecans and Feta cheese. recommend it highly if you grow lettuce and other greens. the small row we planted up by the house in the herb garden gets shade all afternoon, and the that Arugula is much more tender than what is in full sun all day in the garden.

Looking good out there fellers!

I finally got my soaker hoses down yesterday and it was much needed! Still having issues with corn despite moving the patch to the best soil in the garden. I tilled it under and will try one more time before I plant beans there.

I still need to cut 3 silver maples down in the back to allow more late afternoon sun to hit the back half of the garden, but things are going well. I replaced my cucumbers and habaneros yesterday because of rabbit and/or whistle pig damage, but everything else looks great. I've been spraying coyote piss on my fabric and all around the perimeter of the garden for a week now and it seems to be working. Replanted corn on Tuesday and haven't seen any sprouts, but am hopeful it'll come up soon. I'll be making hot pepper mustard in another 10 days or so.
