When you are injured, often times you are thirsty. It is believed that deer get thirsty when they are mortally wounded and that leads them to water. At least that's how I have heard it explained.
I think they fever up after being wounded. Whether its a gun shot wound, arrow wound or even a disease, such as EHD. IMO, they fever up and go to water to hydrate. Then eventually die. Just my two cents.
Yes, nine times. Hard to believe, but due to polio my right arm has very small fragile bones in it. I had a metal pin in my shoulder joint until I was 16. The pin made my arm ridgid so my arm broke very easily. I asked my doctor to remove the pin when I was 16. He did the surgery, removed the pin and I haven't broken my arm in the last 46 years. Sometimes the patient knows best.
