Glad to see you got your answer and that he is still alive. Learn from this is all you can do, IMO. If a deer is nervous or looking at you as you begin to touch the release, its best to wait till they look away or settle down abit or at least bring your pin down low into the vitals in case it drops at the release.

I will be back at it tomorrow afternoon and Sunday afternoon if it is not snowing real hard. I always thought that's right where the spine is. I guess it's a little lower on their body.

Don't get discouraged he is alive. So you have another chance with him. If you hunt long enough with a bow its gonna happen believe me. You are not the only one that's rugged up. Most of us have a time or two.

He is still around and has not shed yet. I am hunting him every chance I get I hope to end his suffering soon. And get myself out of this slump
