I thought I had saw deer eat just about everything until this morning when I saw a buck stand on his back legs in order to reach some Staghorn Sumac berries. Not once but three times. My overgrown field is thick with them but I had never saw a deer actually eat them until today. They like to rub the trees and rabbits like the bark of small Staghorn Sumacs, but I didn't know deer ate them. Kind of interesting. Any experiences from anybody else on this?
