Hortontoters 2013 Cam Photos

Pulled a card from a camera I moved to a fence crossing on Oct. 7. This crossing is about 60 yards behind and to the left of my outhouse stand. I may try to hunt this crossing a couple times if I can get setup on it. Here are a few visitors.

Also got a visit from Splitter. As usual he was camera shy. Finally got a good look at his left side hard horned. Caused me to stay awake last night trying to figure a way to get a crack at him. I also thought, what could he be next season if we don't cross paths this year.

The time is one hour behind on this camera. Good to see him moving at nearly nine in the morning.

I believe he beds a lot just to the left of the green field in the photo. To the left of that field is a steep creek bottom. That area was logged about three years ago and is a tangle of tops and brush now. Funny thing is I don't think he actually crossed the fence when he left yesterday morning. Wish he had so I could have seen where he headed. I may ask the farmer for permission to hunt that area across the fence line. There is a small semi gully that runs diagonally up the steep slope to the fence crossing from the creek. I believe if I could get set up on that gully I would be in a great position. The way the land lays I think it will be tough to get a good setup on my side of the fence. If I could hunt from a tree I could really take advantage of this situation. Trying to set up on the ground is going to be a challenge.

Wow Dick! He's a monster! His left side is prolly a solid 80 inches! Man I hope you are the one to get him! Good luck!

PS, he would make any long drive worth it! Stick with it buddy!

Pulled cards on three cameras on Monday. The does and small bucks are cruising my creek bottom. I assumed if the neighbor stayed out this would be what would happen. No big uns yet, but still a little encouraging. As you can see I ain't giving up.

A few bucks used the fence crossing headed for the dreek bottom. The one deer looks like a relative of Splitter, lots of similar antler characteristics. He is my number two target buck. Camera is still one hour behind time. Time change will take care of that this Sunday.

Great pull IMO Dick. The younger version of Splitter is looking great! Hope your neighbor stays put and things settle down and you get a crack at either of your top two target bucks...preferably Splitter! Good luck!
