Hortontoters 2013 Cam Photos

Been a slow summer at my hunting property this year. The number of shooter bucks is not looking good. Here are a few photos of the bachelors and a nice Gray Fox.

The best thing I have going for me is that a buck I've held out for the last two seasons is still around. I call him Splitter due to having split brows and a split in both ears. He is the buck I will be hunting this season. Here is his progressin thus far this season.

Splitter is looking good Dick! Hope you get him on the ground this season!

Is that some of the brush funnel you were working on pictured in the background? If so, how's it doing with redirecting the deer movement?

Yes, Sean. The picture of the fox shows the beginning of the south end of the brush "fence". It runs approx. 60 yards in length. Seems to be doing the trick, but only time will tell. All three of my cameras are placed between my outhouse stand and the barricade. So all the trail cam photos are of deer that I would have a chance of taking a shot at if I was on stand.

Good deal! I remember reading about that project & thought it was a pretty good idea. It makes sense, 9 times out of 10 deer are gonna take the path of least resistance, so why not guide them down that path!!
