I'm right there with you, not many bucks on camera at all lately. Good luck getting your son a deer.
Well, Kody and I sat yesterday evening behind the house with the hopes of shooting a doe. Some guy and his lab came walking through at 5:00, so we got up an left. At 5:40 this 8 point showed up with his buddy in the background who already shed his right side.

Nice looking deer. Hopefully he'll come soon! I'm guessing this weather will keep the dog walker out of your way for the next few days.

Thanks guys. The nice part is, we can walk out of my garage and be sat down in about 3 minutes. The other nice part is we can sneak to the edge of the woods and look down to where this set up is and see if the deer are there yet without them knowing. It's low impact in and out.
We are situated about 25 yards above them and I used old deck railing and an old cloth blind to conceal us. Hopefully it pays off later today or this weekend. Kody has hunted his butt off and serves a crack at a solid buck.
