One Dumb turkey

Well I am not turkey hunting this year , because of the head acks

But this afternoon I went for a walk on one of the places I have permission to hunt
I was just looking to see if any ground hogs were out

So I am setting on a stump glassing the feild
When I here something behind me

I turn and see a decent tom turkey not 20 yds away
As I sit there it looks right at me several times
Totaly ignoring me
As it walked along

And not that I was in camo
I was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans
And totaly out in the open

Never had a turkey try and get killed before
But figured it was better to watch
As i didn't have a tag and the 223 isn't exactly fair to hunt turkeys with

Just hope it sticks around for next year

I've seen more nice bucks squirrel hunting with the .22 then anytime with bow/shotgun combined.... Fall while in the tree stand is almost a guaranteed seeing plenty of birds... Just the way it works I guess....

Any luck with the whistle pigs John?

When your not hunting something is when you get offered a chip shot...that's how it's suppose to work. Lol

Cool encounter John.
