Agree. I use to hunt Letchworth during bow and opening day of gun season and it was not uncommon to see twenty deer a day. Definitely seen some big bucks come out of there too.
The hunting is very good in NY. The problem is its only a few hours away and you can't turn on the outdoor/sportsman channel without seeing a show featuring Deer hunting in Ohio. People don't come here from NY to kill deer they come here with dreams of killing big deer.
Good points guys. Two worth repeating Like Bigslam said check you sight every time you go out.
And like giles said "what happens after the shot". I have never regretted backing out and letting a deer go over night. If your not sure of your shot placement back off and give it time.
Fished out of Huron the last two nights. Trolling east of the river. Bite is improving, the usual P10, HJ, and Smithwicks. Blue/chrome and clown 1.3-1.6. Mostly smaller fish, nothing for us over 7lbs
