Depends on who you ask I suppose. You HAVE to have the right properties to hunt in order to make it happen. You HAVE to select stands properly. Having the buck read the script and give you a shot? This is where a little luck helps. All we can do is increase our odds with entry/exit to stand, tree selection location, funnels/pinch points, etc. After that it is the right place at the right time. Deer are random. Nothing guarantees on all the acres they have to roam, that they will choose to walk within 20yds of your location WHILE you are there. In this case and last year, I coaxed them with the rattling antlers. They were looking for my location. I guess I am lucky.

That is a thought. First order of business? Build new barn. Second order of business? Frame in office/man cave area. That is a good ways off. Next spring/summer at the earliest. Great idea though!
