Mornin' all. Another new guy on the block. I too read the threads everyday and decided to join the club . I'm about as beginner as it gets to bow hunting, 2nd year in. Originally from the St. Mary's area and now living in Troy. Still looking to take my first deer , so I soak all of the information in on this forum like a sponge ! Looking fwd to the day I get to share my first kill !

Welcome S10..... Good luck with your season.... Best advice for a beginner is use smoke in your arsenal..... Once you've got that covered you'll eliminate most of their nose allowing more sightings.... Good luck and keep us posted on your progress and if you've got questions we've probably got the answers lol.....

"J"- Ive seen this a lot on this thread and its something I've never even heard of. What's the process behind smoking? I know I'm doing something wrong, I've seen no deer during my sits, but they're moving all the time through my trail cam photos so I'm assuming the scent cover-up isnt doing its job. Thanks for the heads up!

It can be as easy as using a campfire too smoke your clothes up or you can use a wood burner if you use wood for heat or you can buy a scent smoker from one of our members and use it.... Not difficult any fire that emits smoke you can have all your hunting gear around the smoke and make sure it comes in contact with the smoke as much as possible..... You'll smell lie smoke really bad and after the first couple of times you'll be used too it.... There are a ton of testimonials on TOO about it and it's one of those ideas that's different too add too your thought process but it really works at covering your scent up and with that he wind and deer being down wind aren't a big deal anymore....
Smoke up all your gear as well.... I even do my rope hat I pull the bow up with lol.....
