Anyone else hate it when the sun comes out in the morning, and takes away your vision in the woods? I will take a cloudy day anytime...

I try to make setups to help in that area so I don't get blinded but like to use it to my advantage. I setup morning and evening spots and hang my stand so the sun will be behind me and the deer that come in on a suspected travel route the sun is in their eyes and blind them making it very hard for them to see me as long as I don't make any huge amount of movement.

Although, I do have one stand that gets full sun all day long and it does suck but it's my observation stand so doesn't matter all that much in the long run.

My favorite hunting spot is where i sit in a slight valley. In the evenings, there is a 15 minute time frame that as the sun is going down behind the hill crest, I can't see anything. However, that spot does give me the longest shooting light, so I put up with the 15 minutes of blindness! :smiley_depressive:
