Me and my brother will be hunting public land woodbury and dillon wildlife areas. My brother has been hunting on private land around Hebron a few times. We will be hunting week of oct. 22 - 27. I know this is before the rut starts but do any of you think that it will be worth the trip and do any of you have any suggestions as to how and where to hunt. The weather is also supposed to be warm. Whether or not we have any luck, it still beats working !!

Yes. It is supposed to be warm. This might hurt. Then again, if Charlie Alsheimer is right, the rut should be hitting early and could be starting to heat up. You might see some action if the temps aren't too warm. Find some doe groups and pinch points. Best I can offer. Just common sense I guess. Get out there and hunt!

In and around some standing corn. Most farmers are getting it picked and the deer will be scrambling for cover when they are push out of the corn. Good luck!
