Well I shot the buck we have been watching since he was 2 1/2. We called him cowlick, because he has a big cowlick on the back of his neck. He is 5 1/2 years old this year. He is a huge bodied deer. He field dressed 215 pounds. We are guessing the live weight was around 285. He had some major guts. He is gonna gross right close to 140". Long history with this buck. We passed him up at 2 1/2, 3 1/2, and 4 1/2. He grew a little each year, but I think he is at his peak now. This deer was smart. Those 5 1/2 year old deer are a whole different animal. Pictures below! enjoy.:smiley_bril:

Awesome job! Having history of a deer like that has to make it special! Killing a 5.5 year old is quite an accomplishment! Congrats on taking a great 8!

Do you care to share your hunt on how it went down? Did you have him patterned? Recent pics?
