I just talked to one of my buddies this morning. He killed a 150" main frame ten at around 6:00 last night. He then told me another friend also killed a 150" buck last night at around the same time. He also said he rattled that buck in.

Last night another buddy stopped by my house all excited, he was hunting with his wife and said he saw two shooters step out of the woods just before dark. His wife couldn't see her pins so they let them walk.

To top it all off, my cousin saw a huge buck last night at 64 yards and wouldn't of come any closer. I guess I should of went hunting last night.

Dang! Those nights are great! And Mason and I to your "good night" list. We saw "Ugly 6" last night and another dandy buck that I don't think I know. No shots fired, but Mason got a case of the shakes while they were still 100 yards or so out.

Can't say I didn't warn you guys!! Blame the moon! Buddy missed a big buck last night around 7pm. Personally, I didn't see squat, but I am hunting in a very deer depleted area and didn't really expect much.

We saw two separate bucks escorting does this past weekend. One was actually locked up already. He did everything she did for over 2 hours while bedded up together. It's too early for this behavior....or is it?

Below is what I wrote two days ago, predicting good hunting for yesterday by using the moon as your guide.

Since I now have access to my Moon guide, I can tell you that tomorrow is going to be an awesome day to hunt. The moon is overhead at 6:25am and underfoot at 6:50pm. These times are accurate for a couple hours before and couple hours after. For those of you who are blessed to have a lot of deer in your area, expect to see many deer out in fields tomorrow evenings. Hunting the edge of a field in the evening should be very productive. Tomorrow is one of those few "magical" days that I was talking about in an earlier post where we have both a directly overhead and underfoot moon during daylight hours in the same day. Combine that with the cooler temperatures this weekend, and you have a deadly combination.

How are your kills stacking up to your premonitions?

LWP, are we hunting the same ground lol. I didn't see a dang thing either. I sat in my stand from 2:30 until after 7pm and not a single thing but birds, a groundhog, and tree rats.

I had a pair come in together yesterday also. The buck was lip curling and they bedded down together. The buck was TOO small and the doe made a mistake of laying down TOO close to my tree.

I didn't see squat yesterday, but it wasn't because of the moon. The past few years when we had more deer I have almost always had good sightings based on the moon. I didn't always kill anything, but still saw good action. My buddy missed a buck of a lifetime yesterday around 7 pm. I hear reports all the time of people having good hunts in correlation with the moon times, regardless if they know it or not. It's not a premonition and it's not coming from me. It's science and it's coming from a guide that I hold in my hand and turn a dial to the day I want to hunt.

What are supposed to be the hot days in the first two weeks of November based on the moon? I am sure it is in Jesse's moon thread, but I am lazy...lol..

November 4th, 5th and 6th all have a moon time that would provide good activity in both the AM and PM hunts. With the days getting shorter, the days get very numbered in November where we have moontimes that will be good for both AM and PM hunts. Those 3 days are your best bet. After that we have good moon times that are good for either the morning or the evening, but not the morning and the evening both.

My buddy George downed a doe last night. I grew up with his son Jeff, and they have been family to me for years. George has been more of a father to me as well as a mentor than any other man in my life. He isn't getting any younger and his health is not the best. It means a lot to me to see him getting out there still.

Pics are a little blurry, I'm going to see if they took any with a regular camera.
