Well if it wasnt for bad luck I would have no luck at all!! As you all know I hurt my shoulder at work this spring and through some serious physical therapy and steroid injetions, and a therapist who was married to a bowhunter and understands the principles of drawing a bow I was ready for bow season this year. Well I have been having some pain in my left hip for several monthes now and just chocked it up to getting old and 2 knee surgeries on the same leg, so to get to the chase I was walking yesterday and it was bothering me, never really thought much about it , went to step up onto the first step of our deck and as soon as I placed weight on it down I went, the pain was excruciating and I will be truthful there was a tear or two shed! After a trip to the E.R. I get informed by the Dr. that my hip joint is wore out from the way I have been walking since having my knee surgery several years ago. He went onto explain that what he thinks had happened was my hip had "popped " out and right back in, he said from the looks of the x-rays that the ball and socket are wore out and that probably a hip replacement was in order, I have to call tommorow and schedule an appointment with a specialist to see what they want to do. 43 years old and a hip replacement FUGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. So for the time being I am limping around like a 95 year old until we see what the deal is. Hopefully there is an alternative to surgery, I lucked out with the shoulder and hope to with the hip also, at least to get me through this season and then I can be laid up on the couch, if not I will live this bow season through my brothers and sisters here on TOO!
