If you just want fast money, there should be a local fur buyer not TOO far. Check at sporting good stores and they should be able to help you. Most of these buyers will take the animal on the carcass or stretched and dried. The best money is in shipping them on consignment with a broker. (But they will need to be stretched and dried) They will go to the big Canadian Auctions and bring much better money. Takes a few month's to get your money back, but I received approx 50% more than from a local buyer.

Anyone who coon hunts can direct you to a buyer. Or contact the local wildlife officer and he will know since he has to keep records for ODNR.

Go to the Ohio State Trappers website there is a list of fur buyers ,we also hold a fur auction in Zanesville it will be March 10 . I sold half my fur there last year. There was 6 buyers there last year and they bought a lot of fur.
