Defiance High school alumni is pitching for the Mets. Defiance has plenty of guys in the bigs and in college ...always turning out prospects.
Good stuff! Defiance HS is in the Western Buckeye League. Our HS is also in the WBL. Not terribly far away although they were probably the farthest school from us. Nice to hear about a semi-local in the big leagues. Thanks for sharing!
I'm a poll voter for all state nominations and state rankings. Defiance kept getting number one votes from me this year because of their record and they had 2 more stud pitchers I voted on for all state. If I remember right, one committed to Louisville and the other Kent.

Defiance has a great baseball program that is led by head coach Tom Held. My son is attending their week long baseball camp again this summer....
All Ohio teams just announced today. Tom Held was named COY in D2. Both Defiance kids I voted for made 1st team.
My SS, Alex Young made honorable mention.
He runs a 4.6 - 40. He's getting all kinds of D1 looks.
