This morning, when heading home from staying at a friends house, two of our Indian Creek student athletes were seriously injured in a one car accident caused by black ice. Both boys were ejected from the car.
Both boys are sophomores and good kids. One is in the starting five in basketball and would've been our QB next year. He is in emergency surgery right now to try and save some of his movement. At this moment he is paralyzed from the waist down and is in danger of being paralyzed from the neck down.
The other boy is our 6th man in basketball and suffered a broken arm, collar bone, and tail bone.
This kind of stuff just reminds us how fragile life is. Very sad...
If you could, please keep them in your thoughts.
