Swan hunting, with a bow!

Me and 3 other buddies put in our apps. for a swam tag. If so we will be going to NC December 18th to shoot a swan with our bows. This should get interesting!

Went swan hunting last year .Was a blast, told everyone I Wasnt shooting one until I saw a band. 6 swan that came in I took a gander and and saw what I Wanted! 20 yard flying head shot!

Nice! We called in a flock of swans last year late season up on Erie. They had landing gear down and everything, coming in to goose calls. Freakin' sweet to see, that's for sure, even if we couldn't shoot em.

On a side note, my brother up in Alaska bagged a sandhill crane and said it is the best wild game he has ever tasted.

Good news! Just found out tonight we got drawn for the swan tag. Arrows will be a blazin and swans will be a flyin. Should be a good time.

As far as taste, I couldnt tell ya, mine is in freezer to be mounted. Although, this years swan will be eaten!
