Gun/scope question

A different scope or mounts won't solve the real problem, blow back.

Some guns just have a bunch of blow back and there really isn't anything you can do about it other than protect the scope from it. I use electrical tape on the scope area that gets hit. I replace it as required. It is not pretty but it does save the scope from cosmetic problems.

The only other option is to get a gun that doesn't have the blow back issues. I have always liked this option the best for me:smiley_clap:

I have the same rifle, and I have a Weaver V3 1-3 power scope in the T/C rings on it. Its finish was never bother by the flash but did get dirty when shooting.

For a good dependable scope that doesn't break the bank I highly recommend the Nikon Prostaff line.
