Feels awesome to be out with the Benelli in hand! We have the dekes set and the blind built. Time to enjoy our coffee and wait it out!!!

Had 30 ducks go through, but nothing committed. Scouting report says sit until noon-thirty or later...

Any dead critters? I am out of the game all weekend due to family obligations but I will hopefully get to go Monday.

Just dusted two out of three. The guys in the other end of the blind let us down on the third! I folded one at 20 yards with some new Blindside shells my buddy brought today...

Back at 'em this morning. We built a makeshift blind on the river this morning. We're in some back water between an island and the Ohio bank. I'll snap some pics in a few. I scouted yesterday and saw 18 geese and 12 ducks down in here. Hoping for a good start to the weekend...

We landed a pair of mallards in the hole, flushed then and two shots later, the day was off and running. We landed 5 drake and one hen ring neck, but they are across the river from us. So the waiting game is on...

Puddlers will do the same thing sometimes. They will dive to the bottom and latch on to weeds or whatever. I have lost a few that way.

Nope... You can not shoot any bird over the river... Saturdays only.. you have to follow Wva laws.. That's how it was last year. Took a day of calling both states..
