When you have days when the does have to come in and stink up the place,

it is hard for the bucks to stay away. Friday night I was in my stand and a small 8 came in to visit four of my decoys and have a snack. He stood with with his back to me at 20 yards. For 10 minutes I debated in my head if I should take him or wait for something bigger. Last year I went antlerless. I decided to take him. He ran 25 yards and piled up. The four decoys scattered a bit. The little yearling doe did not know what all the commotion was all about, walked right back in and started feeding again. The others just slowly walked away.

A few questions Fred. How did you get them to warm up to you? How long did it take? Is there any hunting pressure near your borders? Do you own enough land to keep them from straying off? Pretty awesome idea and hunting technique if you ask me. Thanks for sharing!
