The unthinkable...

I found a tree shed hunting this year that sits in the SW corner of my sanctuary that sits just below the edge of the ridge. That's where I'm headed in about an hour...

Hanging in the sanctuary goes against everything I've done for five years out there. But I'm not seeing shit anywhere else, so why not get crazy?!?

The plan is to get where I can shoot two main trails entering the sanctuary on its west side. There is a hogs back with a slider trail at 30 yards and it connects the ridge with the creek bottom. To my NW, roughly 1,000 acres dumps in to a 200 yard wide strip with standing corn on either end. I can't hunt the funnel, but I can hunt one of three main entrances to our farm and Hippie Ridge. I'll literally be in Moe's bed, but I think I can use the wet leaves and wind to get in there quietly. We shall see...

The trails are unreal in this area. Not a ton of shots, but what I have are chips shots with perfect chances to draw. Wind is ideal and I never heard or saw any deer. Feels like a spot that might take a few sits, but it'll produce. Hippie Ridge is south of me (facing that direction). Four year old select cut to the west. Our creek bottom to the north. And the sanctuary to the east. I'm tucked in a triple trunked hickory on the edge of the shelf between the bottom and ridge. Gonna pull an all dayer tomorrow unless the wind won't die...
